The B. vitamins and Alzheimer’s disease

The brain shrinks about a half a percent each year. 16% of people by the age of 70 have mild cognitive impairment and half of them will get Alzheimer’s. subjects were given 300 times the recommended daily intake of vitamin B 12 (0.5mg). four times the recommended dose of folic acid (0.8 mg, and 15 times the recommended dose of vitamin B6 (20 mg). With these doses, this study was a drug intervention not a vitamin intervention.
